Held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront—a pebble’s toss from the Pacifi c Ocean— Eufora/HERO recently ignited the worlds of 700 attendees with two days of mainstage events and classes.
Basking in the beauty spotlight, Eufora Stylist of the Year awards were presented to Kera Spencer (Contemporary Classic); Shereen Hussein (Makeover), Anna Kufrejska (Men’s Trends), and Zoryana Popiel (Avant Garde). And after a full day of learning and viewing heart-stomping runway shows—including hunky HERO models and arty presentations of the four elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water—attendees let loose at the James Bond Casino party. One of the greatest highlights of the event involved Childhelp—Eufora/HERO’s chosen charity—which received $100,000 in welcome dollars thanks to the efforts of the Eufora/HERO salon network and distributors, and an impressive donation by co-founders Don and Beth Bewley on behalf of their company.
Just some of the classes offered at this nonstop event: Trends in Razor Cuts, Trends in Long Cuts, Timeless & Heroic Men’s Cutting, High Fashion, and Long Hairdressing. “I was amazed to watch razor-over-comb techniques that produced seamless results on even short, tight cuts,” beams HOT Editor Jeryl E. Spear, who’s also a seasoned stylist. “I also learned how to razor-cut long hair by taking diagonal, over-directed sections, as opposed to combing them straight up or out.
I immediately went home and tried both techniques. They’re genius!” New Touch Up Texturizing Dry Shampoo collection, Details Spray Wax, HERO for Men Pliable Pomade and Firm Hold Gel made their debut at the Connection. (Eufora.net)
