It's a win! Jasmine Gibbs, a Redken stylist and the winner of Redken's Road to NAHA contest, flaunts her talent once again by nabbing the 2012 NAHA Texture Award.
"It's an amazing accomplishment to receive this recognition and with the help of Redken and Kris Sorbie, I was able to have this dream fulfilled," says Gibbs. "What means the most to me is that I've inspired the Professional Beauty Association's Beacon students, and I hope one day I can mentor a future professional like what Kris has done for me."
In 2011, Redken introduced the Road to NAHA contest where stylists enter for a chance to be part of NAHA with coaching from past NAHA winners and industry icons, Kris Sorbie and Chris Baran.
By creating a signature look, stylists competed for the opportunity to win a mentorship as well as recreate their look with a professional photo shoot in NYC for NAHA 2012 submissions.
Over the course of the last few months, Jasmine, who graduated cosmetology school in November 2010, worked closely with Kris Sorbie, receiving professional advice as she became a finalist in the 2012 NAHA categories of Texture and Newcomer.
