Demand for bi-lingual education is surging in many professions, including hairstyling. There are more than 35.5 million Spanish-speaking people in the U.S., and more than 45 million who speak Spanish as a first or second language. As a result, Matrix organized an elite squad of Spanish-speaking styling professionals called, "Latino Expressionists." Led by Matrix Artistic Designer Robert Santana, this dynamic group of 14 stylists will provide Matrix education to Spanish speaking hairstylists throughout the U.S.
"We have observed the rapidly growing Hispanic market for some time now," says AVP of Education Cheryl Nishi. "We felt it was important to create a group of educators to communicate with these stylists, and to present our message in a consistent manner. With Latino Expressions, we now have an incredible team that is technically strong and philosophically aligned."
The initial "Latino Expressionists" team consists of: Carlos Ramirez, Santa Ana, Calif.; Jose Rodriguez, Orange County, Calif; Alejandro Araya, Atlanta; Azriel Arce, Providence, R.I.; Juan Blanco, Mamaroneck, N.Y.; Junno Rivera, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Elvira Garcia, Chicago; Patricia Rodriguez, Milwaukee; Fabian Cisneros, Naples, Fla.; Rodsly Ortiz, Houston; Lorraine Marie Cortes, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Lorena Dominguez, Carney, N.J.; Angel Delgado, San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico; and Ray Rojo, Ft. Morgan, Colo. Santana will continue to recruit and lead the training for additional team members.

Latino Expressions is currently available for classes and seminars in New York, Florida, Texas, California and Chicago. The first team show presentation is scheduled for America's Beauty Show 2012 in Chicago. Throughout the year the bi-lingual team will continue to debut at major shows and events.
