A.I.I. Charity

As the adage goes, beauty is only skin deep, but at a recent American International Industries (A.I.I.) event, beauty went much deeper than that. A.I.I. graciously offered its services and time to take part in two events that support women battling cancer.

On April 29 at the Sonya Dakar Skin Clinic in Beverly Hills, A.I.I. brands China Glaze, It's So Easy, Body Drench and more participated in the Wish Upon A Teen Mother/Daughter Spa Event by providing manicures. The guests-young ladies from the Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA who are battling cancer-brought their mothers and grandmothers to enjoy a day of pampering at the spa.

A family affair: Maria "Cuca" Del Villar (left) enjoyed the event with her daughter Kimberly (far left) as they walked side-by-side with teammates Lizel Pineda and Irene Chuaseco.

Manicurists Sreynin Peng and Tina Nguyen representing A.I.I. from Bliss Spa in Los Angeles provided hand massages before applying a coat of China Glaze lacquer and adding a touch of glam with an It's So Easy rhinestone accent nail.

Gift bags included an ibd file and buffer, Body Drench lotion, Seche Base and Seche Vite dry fast top coat. Additional treatments at the event included Ardell lash and brow applications from stila cosmetics.

In other news, for the 8th consecutive year, A.I.I. employees came together with their friends, family members and nearly 30,000 other participants at the 20th annual Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Exposition Park on May 11.

The EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women aims to increase awareness, educate, and assist in funding research efforts and treatment services for women battling cancer.

Under the team names "Team China Glaze" and "Team Ardell Cosmetics," and sponsored by Executive Vice President Terri Cooper, A.I.I. participants ran and walked proudly in the Los Angeles 5K to support the cause.
