Redken's Road to Success

Jasmine Gibbs of Jazz It Up NYC Salon in Brooklyn, N.Y., a Redken stylist and winner of Redken’s Road to NAHA contest, was selected as a NAHA 2012 finalist in the “New Comer of the Year” and “Texture” categories. Through the contest, Gibbs had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be mentored by Kris Sorbie, Redken’s Education Artistic Director and past NAHA Master Hairstylist of the Year.

In 2011, Redken introduced this new contest to provide stylists an opportunity to become part of NAHA’s expert coaching from Kris Sorbie and Chris Baran, who are previous NAHA winners. By creating a signature look, a group of stylists competed to win a mentorship with one of Redken’s Education Artistic Directors/NAHA Winners. Part of the plan was to have the winners recreate their looks during a professional photo shoot located in New York City. In December 2011 talented winners Jasmine Gibbs and Brooklyn Lane jetsetted to New York City to recreate their winning looks for a special shoot.

In other news, Redken congratulates Club 5th Avenue’s member Bryan Nunes, owner of Raleigh, N.C.-based Blo Salon, who was selected as finalist in the “Salon MBA” category for NAHA 2012.
