A Cut Above the Rest

Star stylist David Babaii created the sexy, soft textured haircut Olivia Wilde flaunted at the recent 2012 Palm Springs International Film Festival. To achieve the textured bob and soft fringe look, Babaii used his secret tool-the IT&LY HAIRFASHION Pininfarina Shears, which were specially created by the designers of Ferrari, Maserati, FIAT, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Peugot and GM. "These shears provide precision cutting and super clean edges," says Babaii.

When cutting the texture, Babaii took sections from the nape to the crown, creating soft natural layers. For the fringe, he took a diamond section, following the points of the eyebrows, as his guide and chipped into the ends to create a soft finish. To style, Babaii applied IT&LY HAIRFASHION's Pure Water Drops for some shine and hydration. He then sprayed IT&LY HAIRFASHION'S Pure Texture at the root and rough dried Wilde's hair with his hands. When the A-lister's hair was almost dry, Babaii used a small, round brush to create soft waves. To finish, he sprayed IT&LY Hairfashion's Pure Definition Hair Spray, which provides "memory hold" with added shine.
