Drumroll, Please...


Goldwell announces its US Semi-Finalists for the 2011 Color Zoom Challenge, in which hundreds of beauty professionals throughout the globe compete for Goldwell's prestigious titles. This year the United States received a record 244 entries in the three Color Zoom Challenge categories: Creative Colorist, Partner Colorist and New Talent.

New Talent Semi-Finalist Crystal Garcia The Color Zoom Challenge's prestigious judging panel included several luminaries such as Emmy-nominated celebrity stylist Rachael Dowling; A-List New York star and celebrity stylist Ryan Nickulas; President of Carlton Hair International, James O'Regan; and Goldwell North American guest artists-John Simpson and Timothy Switzer.

Last year's New Talent title was won by Shay Risley of Aura Salon & Spa in Scottsdale, AZ. She describes the contest as a life changing experience that was very intense and rewarding. "I am so lucky to have had this opportunity," says Risley. "From the people I met, to the experience of the live competition, Color Zoom has motivated me to never, ever stop."

This year's semi-finalists submissions will be sent to Germany to be judged by a global panel of industry experts and international stylists. One lucky winner within each category will be selected to represent the United States at the 2011 Color Zoom Finale Live Competition, which will be held in Miami, on October 16, 2011.
