Beauty First

As a woman, if you were on a deserted island for one week and could only have one of these items, which one would you choose: (A) chocolate, (B) coffee, (C) sex, or (D) your most important cosmetic?

If you’re like the vast majority of the 1300 women surveyed by L’Bel USA, your answer would be “D”.

Going a step further, the survey also showed that women are more apt to let an airline security agent take a pair of their beloved shoes than give up their favorite skincare or makeup item.

But here’s the biggest surprise: One in ten women said that if they could use their paycheck to splurge on one beauty product, they would choose to buy a luxury foundation/concealer!

Story

Shiri Sarfati, VP of Repechage
"With today’s timedeprived consumers, facials are more about having lunchtime skincare treatments, rather than long, luxurious therapies. To accomplish this, estheticians must deliver effective treatments in shorter amounts of time and ensure that their clients leave the salon looking presentable enough to go on with their day. This is why every facial should end with a light application of therapeutic makeup that, rather than undoing the results, actually adds benefits to their facial services."
