Classically Coiffed
Classical and minimal were the buzzwords to convey the effortlessly chic hairstyles that ushered a feeling of modern luxury to the Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer 2015 NYFW show.
"Ralph Lauren continues to tell the story of easy luxury on the runway. The hair is all about this beautiful, rich texture," reveals Guido, Redken's Creative Consultant.
The products of choice were satinwear 02, which was used to achieve a smooth blowout, and fashion work 12, which cleaned up the hairline and smoothed down flyaways.
Some of Ralph Lauren's models wore their hair back in an elegant, low ponytail, and some had luscious locks that cascaded down--a nod to the designer's commitment to stay true to his brand rather than being dictated by trends.
Create the Look:
1. Apply a nickel-sized amount of satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion throughout damp hair.
2. Create a side-part and then blow-dry hair smooth using a round brush for added volume.
3. Brush hair into a low ponytail, securing at the base of the head with a small elastic.
4. Take a small section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic, securing with a small pin.
Finish with a mist of fashion work 12 versatile hairspray for a clean, polished look.
