West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will host the West Hollywood Creative City Awards 2013: Honoring Innovation in Business on November 14, 2013 at Hollywood's stylish The London West.
The industry's shining star, Marco Pelusi was nominated for the John Chase Art & Design Award. The other nominees include the Cedars-Sinai Landscape Project and Gerald David Bauman-Nobel Shield & Box of Rocks.
The nominees were selected for innovation in their approach to business and/or creative merits in product and service by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Membership, its Board of Directors and the Special Events Committee. A criterion for selection was that the business be a Chamber Member and it must have made significant contributions to the West Hollywood community.
"I just feel so honored to be amongst such esteemed colleagues. I work hard and diligently and authentically with what I do, and to be recognized for that is pricelessly rewarding," says Marco Pelusi. The stylist encourages his staff to attend Chamber events with him and he also enjoys hosting events for the Chamber at his creative studio. Additionally, Pelusi has served on the Board of Directors for the West Hollywood Design District for several years. "In the early days, I spent time pounding the pavement and connecting with neighboring businesses. It has been a blast," he concludes.
The Creative City Awards is a fund raiser for the Chamber, a 501c6 non-profit organization. Funds raised from this event contribute to programming and promotions for the business community.
