Oribe Hair Care debuts its splashy Backstage Miami 2013 event-a multi-day bash of hairstyling, makeup, photography and entertainment. Hosted by Oribe and the Oribe Education Team, this not-to-be-missed educational event, which was previously hosted in New York City and glitzy Las Vegas, has been described as "life-changing."
Miami will be the scene for 2013's event, which will be held June 9 and 10th at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. The theme-La Fama will pay tribute to Oribe's Latin heritage. Highlights include THE SHOW and the HANDS-ON WORKSHOP. THE SHOW is an evening of hair, inspiration and more than a little drama. Described as "Broadway meets a Vegas revue," the event will boast the Latin flair that is associated with Miami. Lots of hair and glamour will take center stage and attendees will watch-and learn-as Oribe and its team transform the models as they craft gorgeous, glam sexy hair. Special appearances will debut from some of the biggest names in Miami music.
The HANDS-ON WORKSHOP will be held the following day at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Elite stylists will learn in-depth styling techniques, gain exposure to backstage practices and craft countless looks on models, all while pushing the boundaries of their craft and comfort zones.
Beyond the hair program, the weekend will host a series of fun activities such as pool parties, golf and poker tournaments and nightly celebrations with top stylists from around the globe. Those looking to take a break from the sun can attend IDEALOGUE: OWNERS' EXCHANGE, where they will gain insight into the minds and practices of highly acclaimed speakers from innovators in salons, luxury, technology and retail.
Finding "THE ONE"
Jimmy Paul...Brad Johns...Ken Paves…Rita Hazan...It's all about finding "THE ONE." Stylists at Backstage Miami 2013 will have an opportunity to be the next in a long and prestigious line of hairdressers mentored by Oribe. By the end of the event's HANDS-ON WORKSHOP, Oribe will select one stylist to engage in a six-month mentorship with him.
Via weekly phone calls and several in-person meetings, Oribe will tutor THE ONE. They will discuss movies, trends, red carpet looks, on-set and backstage wisdom and beyond. THE ONE will also have a coveted opportunity to work side-by-side with Oribe on a photo shoot and will spend time assisting him in his Miami salon. THE ONE will also be invited to attend Oribe Hair Care education events during the mentorship, and will debut on Oribe.com and Oribe.pro.
