ISSE Long Beach

The International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE) Long Beach, which will be held January 26 through 28, 2013 at California's Long Beach Convention Center, has evolved well beyond the traditional "hair show."

This complete beauty event for hair, nails, cosmetics, esthetics and advanced education, will play host to more than 40,000 beauty professionals and feature a sold-out expo floor of more than 400 top international beauty brands. It will also host nearly 200 educational classes, and will feature live stage performances from industry icons, as well as hair and nail competitions. ISSE also serves as a launching ground for new beauty products, services and cutting-edge trends. From international beauty powerhouses to indie brands seeking to enter the market, ISSE will surely have it all.

Highlights for 2013

The EstheticsAmerica & Wellness Pavilion

The Pavilion offers a dedicated environment devoted to skincare, wellness and the latest in treatments and education. Many of the largest esthetics brands will be on hand to offer advanced, hands-on training and certifications, including a line-up of CIDESCO Section USA education.

Hair & Nail Competitions

Students and licensed professionals are invited to flaunt their skills in an effort to win career prestige and cash prizes at the hair and nail competitions. All hair competitors use mannequins for entries and students and professionals compete separately. Categories include: Ladies Trend Cut, Color & Style; Long Hair Bridal; and Fantasy-Inspired by Hollywood. The Nailpro competitions count toward the NailPro Cup. Stage Shows

Dazzling stage shows feature some of the brightest stars and hair teams in the industry. Attendees will have a coveted opportunity to watch the experts at work. The A-list includes Faatemah Ampey, Nick Arrojo, BaByliss Pro, Steve Elias, Enzo Team, Mike Karg, Martin Parsons, P&G Salon Professional, Charlie Price, RUSK, Sassoon Academy, Lisa Yamasaki and more.

NAHA Stage

The ISSE Long Beach NAHA (North American Hairstyling Awards) Stage spotlights NAHA winners and finalists. These top talents showcase their skills and prowess as they expand upon what a NAHA win can do for one's career. They also provide tips on creating a successful entry.

ISSE Long Branch is produced by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and is open exclusively to licensed beauty professionals, students and instructors. The event will continue to feature group registration, making it quick and efficient. Attendees must present proof of license and a valid photo ID.
