Now, there's a newcomer with a new face making its way to salons: Essie Gel Couture, a new gel polish line with a brand-new bottle design that has been inspired by science and all the drool-worthy runway shows held throughout the world.

Essie recently debuted Gel Couture at the Met Gala, with stars like Kate Bosworth, Katie Holmes and Elle Fanning sporting shades from the new Gel Couture line.

The new packaging for Gel Couture reminds us of supermodels setting their gowns in motion as they strut down the catwalk. In fact, Essie reps relate that the new, chic packaging was inspired by the "covetable, twirling dresses of the runway." Even better: Gel Couture includes 42 brand-new shades as part of its innovative, two-step system that makes the lacquer wear like a chip-resistant gel polish without exposing your clients' digits to UV light.

Gel Couture Groupings

    ● Atelier, which focuses of neutral shades inspired by frilly fabrics like lace and fishnet
    ● First Look, a collection of six pastels that reflect the excitement and jitters that are always present right before models walk down the runway;
    ● Fashion Show, 12 vivid shades that depict gorgeous designer creations; and
    ● After Party, which includes rich, sensuous polishes that celebrate the fashion event
