Winning Looks

Design Essentials unveiled its new community empowerment initiative, Strength To Shine, at the recent Miss Black US Ambassador (MBUSAM) Pageant.

It was held at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center in Atlanta.

The Strength to Shine Empowerment Initiative spotlights the accomplishments of women who give back to the community with strength, style, and grace.

During the weekend event, the Design Essentials Style Team provided looks fit for each of the 28 contestants who hailed from all over the nation.

Complementing the mission of the MBUSAM to encourage, empower and enlighten communities, states and nations, the Strength to Shine initiative recognizes women who serve to improve communities across the country. Showcasing their talent, commitment to healthy living, and beauty inside and out, the contestants presented their platforms to effect change to an audience of supporters and judges.

The elite Style Team that glammed up the contestants consisted of Francesca Adams; Aaron Tracey Whitaker; Ereka Fielding; and Stephanie Davenport.

The members of the team consulted with the contestants to create the elegant looks that took the contestants from their opening numbers to their talent presentations and into their final formal gowns.

Contestant transformations were made using the new Design Essentials Hyfrience Argan Collection, which includes the Hydrience Argan Moisturizing Creme, Hydrience Argan Moisture Replenishing Mist, and Hydrience Argan Repair Oil Treatment.

Contestants received full styling consultations and styling services by the Design Essentials Style Team.
