Brunettes vs. Blondes
While blondes may have more fun, a British study has uncovered the undisputed allure of brunettes.

Led by facial mapping expert Dr. Chris Solomon, the study mapped out features that are globally associated with success and leadership in the workplace. Rising to the top of the corporate ladder: smooth brunette hair.

Gentlemen may also not prefer blondes as much as once believed (sorry, Marilyn!). A study conducted by the University of Westminster in the U.K. and the Scandinavian Journal of Psychology suggests that men actually prefer brunettes. The study was conducted with a light-skinned woman going into different nightclubs with her hair dyed brunette, blonde and red. (Her hair was done professionally to ensure that she looked her absolute best in each of these colors.) She was approached the most as a blonde, second as a brunette and least as a redhead. However, when the woman’s pictures were shown to the men at these clubs, the majority said they found the brunette most attractive, intelligent and dependable; the redhead more temperamental; and the blonde needy and least intelligent.

We know there are millions of exceptions to these findings, but don’t you find the info fascinating anyway? For those of you who do, here’s one more haircolor tidbit: Rail-thin blondes can definitely get a man’s heart pumping, but when it comes to brunettes, it’s her curves that count most!
